Using the remote control unit included in the AV connection kit, you can play back your videos as well as fast-forward and fast-reverse them. You also have the convenient option of using the remote to engage the camera’s shutter from a distance.
If you have images saved on your PC and want to play them on a large HDTV display, it’s a hassle if you first have to copy the images to a DVD or other media. With the Xacti HD800, you just need to place the camera in the docking station. Your high-definition images are saved automatically, and you can play them back easily using the remote control unit.
Simply use the remote control unit to select what you want to view on the connected display, and enjoy easy playback of your high-definition images. The Xacti Library incorporates an album function, which lets you control how you organize your recorded images. You can create original albums, for example, or play a slideshow of selected images.
The docking station can be connected directly to a DVD recorder via the dedicated S-AV cable (included), so you can easily make your own DVDs. (Note that if you make a DVD using the dedicated component cable, it will be recorded in analog form.)
Single cables connect the docking station with a high-definition TV and HDD (HDMI and USB respectively). Once the docking station is set up, you can save and play back images, and recharge the camera, just by placing it in the dock—there’s no need to bother with connecting wires each time you use it.
