With its 1/2.5-inch, 7.38-megapixel
(total) CCD, the Xacti HD2 lets you take beautiful 7.1-megapixel
still images with vivid, true-to-life color and extraordinary
detail. Switch to 16:9 wide-aspect ratio, and it can capture
5.3-megapixel (3072 x 1728) stills.
SANYO's original algorithm uses
a pixel-interpolation filter to convert the CCD's 7.1 effective
megapixels to the recorded equivalent of 10 megapixels. This
filter enables fine-grained A3-sized printouts of detailed images.
You can even enlarge part of an image without sacrificing image
fidelity.
Thanks to its advanced 4-pixel mixture
technology, the Xacti HD2 can capture increased levels of detail
in still images taken at ISO 1600. Now you can capture sharper
and more accurate still images, even under the kind of low lighting
conditions that occur during an indoor party or outdoors at
night.
In the middle of shooting an HD
(1280 x 720-pixel) movie, a simple press of the shutter button
lets you record a 7.1-megapixel still image at the same time.
Alternatively, you can simultaneously capture a wide-angle,
high-definition, 5.3-megapixel still image (3072 x 1728 pixels).
Using the 16:9 wide-picture
mode ([5.3M] mode: 3072 x 1728 pixels), you can enjoy superb
panoramic images on a wide-screen, high-definition TV.
The following settings can be manually adjusted
according to the shooting situation: Manual focus adjustment
(22 settings); aperture adjustment (5 steps); exposure compensation
(±1.8 EV, 0.3 EV steps); shutter speed (16 settings);
ND filter On/Off; and image-quality adjustment (for sharpness
and color saturation).
Ideal for shooting plants, insects,
or products you wish to auction on the web. The Xacti HD2s
super macro function lets you shoot subjects from just 1 cm
away.
