Face Chaser Function
The image-processing LSI has a unique face-detection algorithm that was developed based on the images of more than 5,000 individual faces. This allows it to instantly and simultaneously detect up to twelve faces within the frame, and adjust the focus and exposure accordingly. It ensures that your subjects' faces are captured in sharp and beautiful detail.

Electronic Image Stabilizer for Stills
When shooting still images, the new electronic image stabilizer compensates for camera shake that cannot be corrected by optical stabilizer systems. It handles vertical, horizontal and rotational shake.

Real-Time Interpolation for 8-Megapixel Recording
SANYO’s original algorithm uses a pixel-interpolation filter to convert the 4 megapixels captured by the CMOS sensor to the recorded equivalent of 8 megapixels (3264 x 2488 pixels). This filter enables fine-grained A3-sized printouts of detailed images. You can even enlarge part of an image without sacrificing image fidelity. High-Sensitivity ISO 3200 Stills
The HD1000 shoots 4-megapixel still images at the equivalent of up to ISO 3200 The HD1000 shoots 4-megapixel still images at the equivalent of up to ISO 3200. This makes it easier to get great shots in situations where blurring commonly occurs, such as in dimly lit rooms or at night.
