In contrast to conventional sequential shooting, where shooting begins when you press the shutter button, SANYO’s new sequential shooting function continues to capture images as long as the shutter button is depressed. You then release the button when the scene you wanted to record has ended, and the most recently captured data is saved to the SD card. This function makes it less likely you’ll miss great shooting opportunities.
* At 14-megapixel resolution, the camera records a total of 14 frames at 1 fps. At 2 megapixel resolution, it records a total of 22 frames at 7 fps.
The Xacti CG100 tracks and focuses on moving subjects, such as children or pets, by detecting their colors. Even if you close the LCD panel temporarily, tracking will resume when you start shooting again.
Note that this function may not operate properly if the subject is too small for the frame, if the lighting conditions change, or if the subject is a similar color to the background.
When shooting photos, the Xacti CG100 can take two photos in rapid succession—one with a long exposure setting for low noise at the expense of more camera shake, and the other at a short exposure setting for less camera shake at the expense of more noise—and combine them into a composite image with both low noise and minimal camera shake.
Note: The stabilizer may not compensate for extreme camera shake or for shaking that occurs at slow shutter speeds.
The Xacti CG100 is able to detect up to 12 faces instantly. Even if the faces move, the CG100 can follow them and adjust the focus and exposure. The Face Chaser function has been developed so that it can even follow faces from a side-on angle.
Note: Face detection functionality depends on the subject and shooting conditions.

The ability to shoot from as close as 1 cm makes the Xacti CG100 a convenient way to photograph accessories and items for online auctions. Now you can take clear, highly detailed close-up shots.
At the highest sensitivity of ISO 1600, the Xacti CG100 can capture the natural colors of faces and indoor scenes at night, as well as evening scenes where you don’t want to use a flash.
The Xacti CG100 focuses automatically on your subject, even if it isn’t located in the center of the frame, to prevent your shots from going out of focus.

The Xacti CG100 can be connected via USB cable to any printer with a PictBridge logo.
After connecting the devices, you can print out your desired images by simply choosing them on the camera’s monitor.
The Xacti CG100 features separate adjustable modes for exposure correction, aperture adjustment, and shutter speed. In Manual mode, you can adjust both the aperture and shutter speed to match the shooting situation.
