Unlike conventional photo shooting, where the camera starts recording the moment the Record button is pressed, the VPC-CG10 keeps loading images as long as the Photo button is kept pressed down. After you release your finger from the Photo button, the most recently loaded images are recorded onto your inserted SD card. This new style of photo capture is called reverse sequential shooting. Now you have more chance to capture sudden photo opportunities.
* When in 2 M mode, the camera records a total of 14 frames at 7 fps.

The VPC-CG10 is able to detect your subjects’ faces instantly. Even if the faces move, the CG10 can follow them and adjust the focus and exposure to match your central subject. The Face Chaser function has been developed so that it can even follow faces from a side-on angle.
Note: Depending on the subject and shooting conditions, face detection may not operate as expected.

Using SANYO’s original digital image stabilizer technology, the VPC-CG10 reduces camera shake for both videos and photos. Now you can shoot without worrying about the camera shake that typically occurs when zooming in on your subject.
Note: The stabilizer may not compensate for extreme camera shake or for shaking that occurs at slow shutter speeds.

High-resolution 10-megapixel photos can be recorded at a sensitivity of up to ISO 1600. This means you can capture the natural colors of faces and indoor scenes at night, as well as night scenes where you don’t want to use a flash.

Simply select the mode best suited to your subject for easy and beautiful shooting.

The high-speed shutter captures fast-moving subjects, such as children, pets, and people playing sports.

The subject stands out against a deemphasized background.

Captures both a foregrounded subject and the night-time atmosphere in the background.

Lets you shoot in the kind of dim lighting conditions that normally produce overly dark images. Available in 2.0 M, 0.9 M, and 0.3 M modes.

The entire image is captured clearly by focusing on the scene in the distance. This feature is also used when shooting night scenes.

Useful when the background is bright, such as on a ski-field or at the beach.

Fireworks in the night sky are captured in all their vivid brightness.
Note: A tripod is recommended for shooting at night or in the dark.

Select the Cosmetic mode to capture beautiful skin tones, or the Sepia or Monochrome modes to create different image effects.

The texture of people’s skin comes out naturally and beautifully.

Pictures take on the chic atmosphere of a black-and-white photo.

Effectively creates a nostalgic look.

Even when the subject is not in the center of the frame, the VPC-CG10 can automatically focus on it to avoid blurred photos.

Ideal for shooting accessories or products for web-based auctions, the VPC-CG10’s super macro function lets you shoot subjects from just 1 cm away.

The 16:9 wide mode lets you capture broad scenes, such as sweeping landscapes, that require a wider aspect ratio.
Note: In wide mode, the camera records at either 7.5 M resolution (3648 x 2056 pixels) or 0.9 M resolution (1280 x 720 pixels).

The VPC-CG10 can be connected via USB cable to any printer with a PictBridge logo. After connecting the devices, you can print out your desired images by simply choosing them on the camera’s monitor.

The VPC-CG10 features separate adjustable modes for exposure correction, aperture adjustment, and shutter speed. Manual mode, meanwhile, lets you adjust both the aperture and shutter speed to match the shooting situation.
