The VPC-CG10 employs advanced MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression technology to produce video files that are easy to handle on the web or on your PC. Despite being compact enough to carry about anywhere, anytime, the CG10 is capable of shooting high-definition 720p video. The camera’s wide, 3.0-inch, 230,000-pixel LCD monitor can be positioned at your preferred angle so that your subject stays clearly in view—whether you’re shooting high or low, or aiming at yourself.

The handy and compact VPC-CG10 captures 10-megapixel photos just like those taken with a dedicated digital camera. It can even record higher-resolution images at up to 12 megapixels, using real-time interpolation*1. Meanwhile, the upgraded Face Chaser function*2 can keep track of up to 12 faces, and can even follow faces that are side-on to the camera.

Thanks to the ISO-standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, video files are as easy to handle as photo images shot with a regular digital camera. It’s quick and easy to save files on a PC and upload them onto a web page to share with friends and family.

• For SANYO Xacti Dual Cameras, “HD” is defined as data recorded at 1280 (horizontal) x 720 (vertical) pixels.
*1 A pixel-interpolation filter converts 10-megapixel images from the image sensor into the recorded equivalent of 12 megapixels.
*2 Depending on the subject and shooting conditions, the Face Chaser function may not operate as expected.
