SANYO-aiming to be a "leading provider of Environment- and Energy-related products" Water To conserve clean water for future generations, we must create a society in which water is recycled and reused.
In order to help Indonesia fulfill its national commitment to providing an environment where more than 80% of the people have access to clean water by 2015, SANYO launched a joint research project for a water purification system named aquaoasis with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in June 2006 and began production and marketing of this system in Indonesia in April 2007. Applying the ozone technology used in our AQUA drum type washer/dryer to the system, we are providing clean water* to general households even in areas where access to water supply systems is difficult.
※Clean water: Defined in the Republic of Indonesia as water that is drinkable only after being boiled.
